Seville: Alcázar Guided Palace Tour with Priority Access — An Honest Look
Getting a glimpse inside the Alcázar of Seville is like stepping into a fairy tale, but with the right tour, it can be much more than just a pretty facade.
This guided experience from OWAY Tours offers priority access and expert insights, making it a great way to see one of Europe’s most stunning royal palaces without the hassle of long lines. We’ve looked into what it offers, and here’s what you need to know.
Priority access made entry very quick. Guide was very knowledgeable and engaging – cracked quite a number of jokes along the way. The palace itself was an architectural beauty.
Great tour. I would like to mention that one family held up the entire group for 30 minutes because they tried to pass off their (2) 15 year old daughters as 13 years of age (instead of buying an adult ticket) to save money. The security guard checks everyone’s ID. The parents kept arguing with the security guard and our tour guide. I really wish our tour guide would have just left the parents at the gate. It was horrible to see the parents yelling with everyone. After that, the tour was amazing. You learn a lot of history. So definitely a guide was worth it. Just a note: we showed a photo of our passports. So you do not need to bring the actually passport with you.
The guide Samuel’s knowledge and enthusiasm made this tour really interesting.
What really catches our eye about this tour are the skip-the-line tickets and the guides. Both mean you spend less time waiting and more time absorbing the history and beauty of this architectural treasure. Plus, the chance to explore the extensive gardens and peek at filming locations from Game of Thrones? That’s the kind of extra that makes this tour stand out.
On the flip side, a possible snag is that it’s not suitable for wheelchair users, so if accessibility is a concern, you might want to consider other options.
This tour is best suited for travelers who want a comprehensive, hassle-free visit with a guide, especially if you’re interested in the palace’s architecture, gardens, or TV filming spots. It’s also an excellent choice for those on a timed schedule who prefer to skip long lines and jump straight into exploring.

The organisation in starting the tour on time and getting the audio devices was very delayed, but Emilio the guide was amazing. He was knowledgeable , friendly and good fun to be around.
The information sent prior to our trip was excellent and accurate, we had absolutely no problem locating our guide. The tour was excellent value for money and actually ran over the amount of time quoted. Our guide, I think her name was Victoria, was knowledgeable, patiently answered our questions and spoke very good English. The ear phones and microphone system was great, so we didn't miss anything at all. The palace itself is fabulous with so much to see both inside and outside in the immense gardens. I would thoroughly recommend visiting this site. We enjoyed it very much
