We started with a one and a half hour ride to Seville from port while guide gave us information and history along the way. Once we arrived we visited the Olympic plaza which was pretty amazing and built in 1929 then we drove to the stop for Alcazar Palace and made our way through narrow streets to the Palace which is also very amazing!! After about an hour of free time we met at our designated spot and walked back to the bus for our ride back to port and was dropped off right at our ship. The cathedral was also just outside the palace but didnt have time to go through it but rather stopped at a nice little spot for some lunch

Our guides Oscar and Noemi were excellent and knowledgeable, providing very detailed explanations of the area. Driver Natalie was good and drove safely.

This was the perfect way to get an amazingly detailed tour of Seville during your Cadiz cruise stop. Our bus guide Oscar gave alot of Seville history during the bus drive. Our tour guide Rocio gave a great tour of everything with time to spare for a little shopping. Kudos to the both of them!!

What really wins us over about this experience? First, the skip-the-line tickets to the Alcazar and Cathedral—so you avoid the wait and get right into the sights. Second, the personalized attention with only 18 people in each group, making the whole thing more relaxed and informative.

A slight consideration? The tour’s timing is tight, especially with the limited free time. Some reviewers mention feeling rushed, and a few have expressed concern about the return to the ship being a bit close. That’s worth keeping in mind if you prefer a more leisurely pace or want ample time for photos and wandering.

If you’re someone who appreciates a well-organized, history-rich day out and doesn’t mind walking or a bit of a bus ride, this tour fits the bill. It’s ideal for travelers who want to see Seville’s key sites efficiently—especially cruisers eager to enjoy the city’s beauty without the stress of planning every detail.

Key Points

  • Skip the lines at major sites like Alcazar and Seville Cathedral, saving valuable time.

  • Expert guides enrich your visit with detailed stories, making history more engaging.
  • Flexible options for free time allow you to explore on your own or indulge in local cuisine.
  • Pricing is competitive, considering the included skip-the-line tickets and guided experience.

Thank you Oscar and Teresa for the historical adventure! It was a great time and loved the historical beauty shared with us. You have a special place.

We were picked up at the cruise port we had been at on our cruise. Perfect and easy! Lived the tour and would do it again.

Really enjoyed the tour. Bus guide Oscar was knowledgeable and funny. Olaf, our tour guide was polite and knowledgeable! Started and ended on time. Would recommend.

While the drive itself isn’t particularly spectacular—mainly highway views—it’s a good chance to get your bearings or catch up on some info from your guide about Seville’s history and culture. The bus is air-conditioned, which is a real plus on warm days, especially when you’re traveling with a large group.

Once you arrive, the first stop is the Santa Cruz neighborhood—Seville’s old Jewish quarter filled with twisting cobblestone streets, flower baskets, and charming plazas.

The guided walk allows you to soak in the atmosphere, with your guide sharing insights about the neighborhood’s history and architecture. As one reviewer noted, “We saw beautiful places. My 2nd time on guided Alcazar. This tour was somewhat abbreviated.

Tour guides were friendly, on time and professional. I like the small group,” which hints at the quality and intimacy this tour provides.

Our shore excursion from Cadiz to Seville was a wonderful experience! The tour was well-organized, and having pickup and drop-off made it convenient and stress-free. The highlight was definitely the skip-the-line access to the Alcázar, which saved us a lot of time and allowed us to fully appreciate its stunning architecture and history. Our guide was knowledgeable and provided great insights into Seville’s rich past. The itinerary covered key landmarks, giving us a solid overview of the city in a limited time. The only reason for four stars instead of five is that the schedule felt a bit rushed, and we wished we had more free time to explore on our own. Overall, it was a great way to see …

We saw beautiful places. My 2nd time on guided Alcazar. This tour was somewhat abbreviated. Tour guides were friendly, on time and professional. I like the small group.

Our guide was good, but the trip was held up for 30 minutes at the start since 3 people were late. The bus waited for them . If the tour says leave by 830am it should leave on time.

Next comes the Seville Cathedral—a 15th-century marvel that combines Gothic grandeur with spiritual grandeur. You’ll enjoy a quick panoramic visit to appreciate its size, and from the outside, the Giralda Bell Tower is an absolute stand-out.

While you only get a brief look (about 10 minutes), it’s enough to get a sense of why it’s a UNESCO World Heritage site. Expect plenty of photo opportunities here.

The tour’s highlight is the Royal Alcazar Palace, where you skip the often long lines thanks to pre-booked tickets. Once inside, your guide will lead you through the magnificent courtyards, lush gardens, and richly decorated rooms. Many reviews praise the “opulent” architecture and the “gorgeous gardens,” making it clear why it’s a must-see.

The tour lasts around 45 minutes, but many wish there was more time to explore freely afterward—something to keep in mind if you’re a photography enthusiast or a history buff.

Selwyn B
The guides were very knowledgeable and good. It was a very informative tour. The guide talked about the countryside as we drove to Saville. Once in the city he covered the history of the city including the more recent pan American era. We loved it.
ToniC
This was an excellent your tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and just a wealth of information. My sites were beautiful and interesting. The trip did seem a litttle rushed and we moved pretty quickly from location to location. But we experienced what we could in the few hours we had and made the best of it.
Rosa C
My visit was disappointing since at the last minute while we were at city were notified that they did not have tickets to the Alcazar and we were unable to make other arrangements. We left the port an hour later than scheduled and spent a lot of time on the road. I understand this was not the guides fault but I was not impressed at all. A total waste of our time!

Finally, there’s the General Archive of the Indies, a treasure trove of documents related to Christopher Columbus and Spain’s imperial past. It’s a quieter, more contemplative stop, but one that adds depth to your understanding of Seville’s significance in world history.

The day wraps up with some free time, allowing you to unwind, grab a quick tapa, or revisit a favorite spot. The return journey is just a short drive back to Cadiz, with the expectation that you’ll be back well before your cruise departs.

Loved it! Great communication and well organized. They made sure you returned back to the ship in more than enough time.

On a nasty, rainy day we got off in Cadiz. With the weather it was a bit of a hectic start as all the "non cruise" tours we're all trying to meet in the same spot to stay dry due to limited coverings just outside the port. We had a big charter bus full of people, but were split into smaller groups of about 15 when we arrived to Seville to do the walking tour. We did about 30 min in the Jewish Quarter, and then headed to Alkazar and did about an hour there. After which we had an hour in the local tourist district by the cathedral in which we chose to grab a bite to eat. Each way was about an hour and a half, with a potty stop on the way there. Only downside is that there is ONE stop on the wa…

It was a good experience! Gilbert is very nice person! We were with a small group ! But we were thinking the bus departure time from the port would be respected! Unfortunately we lost at least 30minutes! And on the return , didn’t have much time for more exploration! Generally it was ok!!

Reviewers also mention that skip-the-line tickets are a real time-saver—one wrote, “The highlight was definitely the skip-the-line access to the Alcázar,” while another appreciated the small group size: “It was a very informative tour. The guide talked about the countryside as we drove, and the city’s history in detail.”

However, some travelers had their moments of frustration. A few found the schedule a bit rushed, especially with short free time in certain spots. For instance, “We were given 1 hour and 15 minutes of free time after Alcazar, then rushed through Plaza Espana in 15 minutes,” pointed out one review. Others were delayed during disembarkation, leading to later departures or shortened visits.

A few reviews touched on organizational hiccups, such as miscommunications about bus assignments or late pickups, but these seem to be exceptions rather than the rule. Overall, most acknowledge the well-planned nature of the tour and the professionalism of the guides.

The tour’s duration of 7 to 9 hours makes it a full but manageable day—perfect if you want a comprehensive glimpse of Seville but don’t want to overextend yourself. The bus journey from Cadiz is straightforward, with most travelers noting the coach is comfortable and climate-controlled. The drive itself isn’t scenic, but it’s a necessary part of the experience.

The small group size (max 18) is a definite advantage, encouraging more interaction with your guide and less crowding at sites. It also enhances the overall atmosphere, making it easier to ask questions or stay with your group.

The cost of $149.46 per person is reasonable considering the included skip-the-line tickets, guided commentary, and transportation.
