This was an excellent trip. However ignore the part that tells you the company will email you exact details of your pick up 24 hours in advance. They will only contact you on the morning of the trip so if there are any last minute changes too bad! The places visited were excellent but personally I would have liked longer at Orotava and less time at Garachico. It would also be great if they arranged a 5 minute photo stop at Los Gigantes. But overall it is a great trip and well worth doing for the variety. The guide and driver were both very good.
Maria
The perfect day. The driver was superb. The guide was outstanding. Masca was paradice on earth.
Elaine
Really good day. Lovely to see the North of the island. So pretty. Scenic and historic. Had a fantastic Spanish lunch in Miramar in Garachico Masca was stunning. Bus driver was amazing!! Great day.

The second is how affordable it is—around $56 per person, including transport and a guide, which seems like good value for a full-day experience.

However, a key thing to keep in mind is that this is a busy itinerary with a lot of ground to cover. If you’re someone who prefers to linger longer at each stop or explore hidden corners, this might feel a bit rushed. It’s also worth noting that lunch isn’t included, so you’ll want to budget extra or be ready to grab a quick bite at one of the recommended restaurants.

This tour tends to suit travelers who want an efficient overview of Tenerife, especially if they enjoy guided sightseeing, stunning viewpoints, and learning a bit about local history and culture along the way.

It was a great tour, out tour guide was great. She was super responsive when we had questions. (i dont remember the name but she is blond with curly hair). It was a pleasure to do the tour with her. Most of the tour is done with the jus and a little bit of walking. I wouldve loved to have more time on each stop 🙂
Ruta
Nearly lost my heart going over the mountains, but highly impressed by the driver who had incredible skills to navigate the terrain. Really enjoyed the experience. Gracias 🙏

This tour is absolutely amazing, if you want to see incredible views, stunning architecture and learn about Tenerife from very knowledgeable guides, book this immediately. We stayed at an Airbnb and it was very easy to organise our pick up location at a very close hotel. The other tour guides were so helpful in getting us to our coach, this was fantastic as we didn't have a clue! Juan, our guide for the day was amazing, very funny and friendly, and answered any questions with passion and charisma. I also want to commend our coach driver for his outstanding skills through winding mountain roads, it was a pleasure to be his passenger. The highlight of the tour for me, was the incredible views …

The trip takes you around the whole of the Island, beginning with the East, heading to the north, the West and then finishing back where you started in the South. The trip was in a small mini bus and the driver was great, the roads a lot of the time are very steep and windy. The first stop is for around 30-45 mins and includes a nice quiet town where you can visit the streets and take pictures. The next stop also has some nice scenery and allows for some nice pictures, once again it is in a quieter area of the island, especially in the morning when we went. The 3rd stop is the longest and my favourite, this is where you can go for lunch, chill by some lava pools or the beach. The final stop …
Here's some more things to do in Tenerife

Garachico: Volcanic History & Natural Pools

Afterward, the itinerary takes you to Garachico, an Ottoman-influenced coastal town with a unique volcanic history. The eruption of 1706 shaped much of Garachico’s landscape, creating the famous El Caletón natural pools, formed by lava. This stop offers a mix of history, geology, and scenic beauty, with options to relax or explore on your own.

Many travelers appreciate these pools as a highlight, noting how volcanic activity has created a striking landscape. One review describes Garachico as a “charming coastal town, whose history is marked by a volcanic eruption.”

Lunch & Free Time

You’ll have some free time here to grab lunch—either on your own or at one of the recommended restaurants. This is a good opportunity to try local Canarian dishes and relax for a bit before heading into the more rugged landscape of Teno.

Teno Rural Park & Masca: Dramatic Cliffs & Traditional Village

The final major stop is Masca, a tiny village famously perched among spectacular cliffs. The winding roads through Teno Rural Park offer incredible views of the coast and mountains, setting the scene for the last part of your adventure. Masca’s traditional architecture and breathtaking scenery are the highlights here, often described as a postcard-worthy location.

Rosemary
we were not informed of the correct pick up. we nearly missed our trip. I phoned up to be told pick up was by Arona Sol. got there just in time
Frank
Trip was very enjoyable. Covered all the places as advertised. Guide and driver were very good
stephen
Needed clarification with time and pick up point. Contacted the office by email and they responded within a few minutes. Our guide Juan was excellent. Very knowledgable. Does cover a large area so time is limited at each stop but does give you a chance to see some towns and decide if you want to go back. Don’t think I would take the optional lunch again. It was alright but definitely not service with a smile. I would have liked longer at Masca. Scenery is spectacular. Walked down to viewpoints and bar but not really time to get a drink and sit and enjoy it. An extra 20 minutes would have been great. Well done to the driver going up the mountain. I would recommend this day trip.

Many reviews mention how this part of the trip is the "highlight" and comment on the "spectacular scenery." The steep, winding drive up to Masca can be challenging for those prone to motion sickness, but most agree that the views are worth it.

Return & Drop-Off

The tour wraps up with a series of drop-off points in the afternoon, most likely around 5-6 PM, depending on traffic and the pace of the day.

Tenerife: Complete Island Tour with Masca - The Transport & Guide Experience

The guides are multilingual, speaking Spanish, English, and German, making it accessible for a wide range of visitors. The group size is not specified but given the multiple pickup points and the nature of the service, expect a comfortably sized group—large enough to be lively but small enough to feel personal.

Pricing & Value

At about $56 per person, the price covers transportation, the guide, and the chance to see a diverse set of locations. Lunch isn’t included, so you’ll need to plan for that separately, which might add to your overall cost. Still, for a full day of sightseeing with expert commentary, most feel it’s a good deal.

What You’ll Need

Bring comfortable shoes for walking, a jacket for cooler mountain areas, and a face mask if you prefer to stay cautious. The itinerary’s pace is brisk, so be prepared for a busy day.
