If you’re dreaming of exploring Tenerife in an adventurous yet relaxed way, a guided on-road quad tour to Mount Teide might just be what you’re looking for. We haven’t taken this exact trip ourselves, but based on numerous reviews and detailed descriptions, it seems to strike a good balance between scenery, safety, and fun.
It’s designed for beginners, so no prior experience is necessary—making it accessible even if you’re new to riding quads.
What we really appreciate about this experience is how it combines breathtaking views with a friendly, guide who keeps the atmosphere lively and safe. Plus, the price is quite reasonable, especially considering the included panoramic stops and the sunset spectacle from Teide’s summit.
The guide and excursion was great. Defo worth it. Just not a fast thrilling quad session due to Gareth and safety and being on public roads so completely understand. But defo worth doing it. Our guide was good and funny. Took some nice photos too.
We loved our experience and the photos at the end! We experienced various different types of weather and will definitely remember it fondly! Would recommend 🙂
Fantastic guides Robert and Catalin, they made the atmosphere much more enjoyable, they know how to make you crack a good laugh and make you feel comfortable. Not to mention they knew many languages and were able to speak with each and every one of us. The tour itself was very nice and safe the whole time, the guides also made sure we were warm at all times. Robert was patient and took very artistic photos of us from all sorts of angles just exactly when the sun started to set, creating a mesmerising view in the background. Highly recommend you book this tour if you’re looking to get value for your money and also feel connected with the guides.
That said, a potential downside is the emphasis on on-road riding—if you’re after off-road adrenaline, this may feel too tame.
This tour seems great for travelers who want to see Teide’s impressive scenery with a touch of adventure without overexerting or risking their safety. It’s well-suited for those who appreciate scenic drives, easygoing activities, and memorable photo opportunities. The whole team were a good laugh. Views up Teide were great, It’s not a fast thrill of a ride but very safe and they look after everyone Would recommend
Would I recommend it? Absolutely. It's one of those experiences that reminds you how diverse Tenerife is—not just the beaches and resorts, but also the wild, volcanic, and beautiful places that are truly worth seeing. The guides really know their stuff, and everything went safely and as planned. If I had to do it again, I'd choose the sunset (or early morning) tour, when the lighting is at its best. The best attraction and truly worth participating in.
The activity was amazing and good value for money. I consider myself lucky as I was the only person booked that turned up for that time slot, therefore it was a very relaxed experience and was treated like a “VIP”. All the colleagues who I interacted with are very friendly and helpful, full of stories to share and curiosities about the island. The quad itself is well maintained and kept in good conditions for safe use. The picture service is definitely something to consider especially of traveling solo so you dub have to worry about taking a tripod of other gear with you. Will definitely be back and recommend to friends and family going to Tenerife. A special thanks to my guide for makin…

Brilliant experience, very well organised and safety always a priority. Very knowledgeable guide, who was lots of fun too. Only down side was hidden extras, insurance, upgrades and of course photos. Didn’t spoil the fun though 🙂
We were swapped over to this company after booking a quad excursion with a different company who cancelled on us the day before. After reading the reviews we were very dubious and nervous about how the activity/staff were going to be but we were seriously proved wrong! The excursion was absolutely fantastic, explained in detail how to use the quads, multiple stops on the way up Teide with extremely detailed information explained to us about the landscapes & the history. Cata (one of the guides, we think that’s how you spell it!) was exceptional! So knowledgeable and friendly, and you could really have a laugh with him! 100% I would do this again through QuadHub, we had a really really fant…

What to Know Before You Go
You’ll need a valid driver’s license—either your own or an International Driving Permit (IDP)—to operate the quad. The weight limit for a single quad is 120kg, and 180kg for a double, so if you’re on the heavier side, plan for the double.
Arrive at least 30 minutes early to sign contracts and get ready; arriving later could mean missing out. Dress warmly, especially in the evening, and bring sunglasses, water, and comfortable clothes for riding.
Not suitable for pregnant women, people with back problems, or those without riding experience. The tour emphasizes safety and comfort, but it’s not intended for those with certain health concerns or who are uncomfortable on a motorcycle-like vehicle.
