Ángel must be the best guide on Tenerife! I had a private tour with him since I was the only one booking that specific slot. He has great knowledge about the history of the island and other canaries, architecture, flora & fauna and most importantly everyday life and culture on Tenerife since he is a local. I was on a tour with him for 9 hours, never felt bored, overwhelmed or pressured to do things. Before each stop he explains the most important seeings, and afterwards gives you time to explore them by yourself or you do sth completely different – your call. In short Ángel is passionate about what he is doing, if you want to really experience the island, this is the best tour to do so.

This tour around Tenerife was an absolute highlight, especially as we were the only two participants! This meant we had the luxury of riding up front, comfortably seated next to our driver-guide Angel. And what a guide he was! He possessed a fantastic sense of humour and delivered local insights with a perfect blend of facts and jokes. He truly hit it off with my 15-year-old son, chatting animatedly throughout the day about everything from local facts to football games. It honestly felt less like a tour and more like a day on the road with a close friend. My son, who initially wasn't thrilled about going on this tour, declared it his favourite day in Tenerife!

Plus, the tour offers enough flexibility to explore at your own pace, which makes it adaptable whether you’re a casual visitor or someone eager to dig into every corner.

That said, a potential consideration is the tour’s duration—about 8 hours. It’s a full day, so if you prefer more relaxed mornings or want to do additional activities, this might feel a bit packed. Also, keep in mind that pickup in the southern part of the island involves an extra fee, so check those details beforehand.

In general, this tour suits travelers who want an immersive, value-packed day out that covers a variety of spots without the hassle of driving or planning each stop. It’s especially well-suited for first-timers or those who want a guided experience to fill in the details of Tenerife’s rich landscape and culture.

Our guide Angel picked us up from our hotel punctually and as there was only another couple doing the same trip we had a convenient van for us four. We first stopped in La Laguna and had some time to explore the city – from there we continued to Candelaria to visit the impressing basilica. Along the motorway to the South we then drove to a viewpoint to see Los Gigantes – a steep rock formation. Our trip continued to Garachico following country/mountain roads. In Garachico we had enough time for lunch and an ice cream in the picturesque town and could also see the nature sea pools. Next stop was at Ivor de los Vinos where we could admire the famous Dragon tree. Before returning to Puerto de l…

We had such an amazing day on the guided VIP group tour of Tenerife. Angel was the perfect tour guide, He picked us up on time and was extremely helpful and friendly throughout the whole day, he shared a wealth of knowledge and interesting facts with us and was able to answer any questions we had which meant we were able to learn so much about the beautiful places we visited. It felt very personal as he referred to the whole group as “family” throughout the day which we found was a lovely personal touch, the mini van was comfortable and relaxing and we would highly recommend this trip to anyone. Definitely the best way to see the beauty of Tenerife. Worth every penny. Thank you Angel.

The guide takes you to a viewpoint—great for photos and simply taking in the scale of these cliffs. Many reviews mention the breathtaking views here, making it a must-see for nature lovers.
