We had a great experience. Antoine was super knowledgeable and friendly. He went above and beyond to give us extra help and guidance.

We had a nice tour group which included our family of three, two others, and our guide, Andrew. Andrew was from England but lives in Bordeaux and was quite knowledgeable about the city. He gave us the back story on many of the sites so that we understood what we were visiting. We had a tasting of local varietals at a small wine shop, and had a pleasant lunch in a cozy restaurant which included delicious duck confit (which or son is still talking about). We sampled chocolate from a local confectionery and ended the tour at an ice creamery. We covered a lot of territory in the old section of town, but at a comfortable pace. It was a highlight of our time in the city and we would highly …

It’s great for curious travelers who want an engaging, social experience, and it’s especially suited for those eager to learn about Bordeaux’s culinary traditions while savoring some top-notch bites and sips.

Excellent overview of the city and taste of Bordeaux. Our guide, Amondine, was very personable with a great knowledge of the city. We loved the lunch she brought us to and the treats we tasted at various shops as well. We received a good overview of the important buildings and we very much enjoyed the walking tour. I highly recommend this city experience.

This was lots of fun. We had a wonderful tour guide, Laura, who lives in the city and had a lot of knowledge about the local wine and food scene. Very relaxing walkable and friendly tour. Great tour of the old town to take on a Sunday afternoon.

We had a fantastic time with Clemence as we toured Bourdeaux and she shared the history of the city as we went from stop to stop. We did biodynamic wine tastings, had a wonderful lunch, stopped for pastries, and ended with chocolate. Clemence was even kind enough to take us to a hidden coffee shop at the end. She was very interesting to chat and we enjoyed our time with her. We highly recommend a tour with Clemence.
Barbara M
Very informative and knowledgeable. It was like spending evening with an old friend. Great balance between food and wine with a wonderful dinner finish.
Clarissa C
Antoine is a fabulous guide with knowledge and wit. Took us to a chocolate sampling, wine tasting, excellent meal along with a start with a delicious canelle and later a scrumptious cream puff. The canelle he introduced us to far excelled others we tried later. Good combination of history included.

Chocolate and Hazelnuts
The tour culminates in a visit to a local female chocolatier—a winner of multiple awards—where you’ll sample decadent chocolates. Alongside, there’s a small caramelized hazelnut treat from a family-run business, adding a touch of authenticity and local pride. Many reviews highlight how these sweets, along with the wine and cheese, create a well-rounded tasting experience.

The Lunch
The tour’s finale is a sit-down lunch at the classic bistro, Restaurant LouLou, nestled around Saint Pierre church. It’s a French cuisine experience crafted with fresh, local ingredients, giving a taste of Bordeaux’s culinary traditions. Reviews describe the lunch as delicious, with generous portions and a comfortable, authentic setting.

The Cultural and Historical Element

Throughout the tour, stories about Bordeaux’s streets, landmarks, and history are sprinkled in, making it more than just a tasting. One reviewer notes that their guide shared fascinating facts about the city, helping them see Bordeaux through a cultural lens. The guide’s ability to blend fun anecdotes with culinary insights is repeatedly praised, making the experience both educational and entertaining.

At $103.40 per person, the tour offers a solid value considering the variety of tastings, the included lunch, and the personalized attention with a small group. The reviews consistently mention that guides like Clem and Antoine are knowledgeable, making the experience worth every penny.

Sophie was our guide and was so wonderful! She made our tour and experience truly memorable. This was the perfect way to discover Bordeaux, balanced with history and great wine & food. We scheduled this tour for our first day in Bordeaux which was ideal to explore the city center. We highly recommend this tour, especially with our guide Sophie – she made our time so special!

It turned we were the only two for this tour. Our tour guide, Antoine, was friendly, entertaining and knowledgeable. He took us all through the old quarters of Bordeaux and stopped at an organic restaurant for a delicious lunch. Following with wine tasting and chocolate tasting. All in all a very worthwhile visit to Bordeaux. Thank you, Antoine!
Tiggi C
My husband and I only had one day to spend in Bordeaux, so we decided on this tour to give us a little city history and also to visit some of the local businesses. We couldn't have been more pleased. Antoine was the perfect guide – so knowledgeable and fun to be around – and our tour size was only four people. After the tour we revisited the cute wine store where we had an excellent tasting and purchased a few bottles. Unfortunately it was very hot that day so we couldn't purchase the chocolates. They were delectable!

You’re not just sampling food; you’re learning about regional traditions, wine-making, and local businesses, which enhances the overall value.

Antwan was our guide. Gave us many good tips on restaurants and showed us around the old town. We stopped at a wine shop and tasted 3 wines. He gave us canneles to start. We then had lunch at a local restaurant. We had a duck salad which was pretty amazing. We then stopped at a local place which makes incredible cream puffs and finished with a local maker of chocolates. Everything was top notch. Antwan is a foodie. Highly recommended

We had a great tour with Antwan. He was very knowledgeable about the city and took us to some great food spots on the tour. Lunch was delicious! Antwan was very nice and accommodating to our group since we had a wide range of ages with us.

Okay let me start by saying this was one of the hardest reviews to do because I really don’t know what we are reviewing.. The tour was a walking food tour experience which all sounds great except we really didn’t immerse ourselves into too much food or discussions there of… For starters we didn’t visit the famous food and produce market in Bordeaux which should have been a must and we really didn’t get into discussing the culinary aspects and delights of this wonderful city other than a couple of small sample delights.. We did stop at one Organic Wine Shop for a taste and that was great (and I would highly recommend) but that was it and the rest up to 8000 steps was a walking tou…
