Other than the driver not arriving at the appointed hour, which required a phone call and several texts, everything was wonderful. We boarded the balloon as soon as we arrived at the site. The pilot and his co-pilot did an excellent job. The balloon ride was spectacular. We saw a lot and enjoyed every minute of the experience. The balloon landed so smoothly on a truck bed that we didn't have to assume the position we were instructed to in case of a rougher landing. The employees helped 4 seniors out of the balloon with ease. Thank you for a super experience.

What a memorable trip. Once in a lifetime flying in a hot air balloon over the magical fairy chimneys. Smooth sailing and landing. Pilot as amazing and crew were fantastic.
Catarina F
The ballon trip with Sky Way was great! We receveid the pick up details on the afternoon of the day before and the flight went smoothly as we could tell the pilot had a lot of experience (incredible manoeuvres with the ballon) and the crew was well trained!! We felt safe all the time !! The only thing I would point is that is felt that we were more than half of the time of the trip at low altitude, don’t know if it is normal with all the companies or if it is just a saving-fuel-approach .. but is was equally beautiful <3

On the downside, this activity is highly weather-dependent, meaning cancellations are possible if conditions aren’t right—something to keep in mind if you’re traveling during the windy season or unpredictable weather periods.

Was nice of you and Wright, but Viator overcharged compared to most companies paid 350 my person where many others got it for 175 per person to 200 per person
Babak S
Absolutely wonderful experience just don’t let these travel agencies crack you on the head with their prices when you book last minute book way in advance so you don’t have to pay the late booking tax.
Nilli M
We were told to be at the pickup spot by 4:10 am on the dot, it was almost 5 am when the driver arrived and told us that there was a mistake bc we were scheduled for 5 am pick even though our confirmation said 4:10 am. So we had to wait in the dark for 50 minutes without any communication it was really unconfortable standing on the street with cold weather for 50 minuts

jacquijsmith94
This was so well organised, as soon as I booked it I received a confirmation from the company. We were then given an exact pick up time the afternoon before the ride. They picked us up 5 mins early! The van was comfortable and wecartived just as the sun was rising. We were given some coffee/tea and a biscuit which was a nice addition and not mentioned in the description. We were put in a balloon with about 20 people, not squashed in. The ride lasted a full hour and the pilot was outstanding at guiding us through the valley and pointing things out. The experience was incredible. My only disappointment was when we landed, we expected champagne as this is mentioned throughout the description bu…

FANTASTIC. The pickup was almost on time (20 minutes late which is nothing in Turkey;)). The flight was A M A Z I N G. Our pilot was the best, he would fly clode to the chimneys and at the end landed the balloon basket on the trailer!!!!! World class performance. Highly, highly Recommended

This was the highlight of our trip to Turkey! Timely pick up at our hotel. Excellent job by our pilot and his crew! Absolutely amazing flight! Views were incredible!! Great landing and nice touch afterwards with champagne and flight certificate!! Highly recommend this excursion!!!

After two days of cancellation due to strong wind condition, we managed to ride the hot air balloon on the third day (April 19) Apparently, this kind of activity is being regulated by Civil Aviation and would be allowed only if the wind speed is less than 3 knots. It was a magical experience flying over fairy chimneys at Goreme for one hour! Skyway Balloon Tours is a highly recommended company!

The view of the sunrise over the fairy chimneys is a highlight, with travelers describing the colors and shapes as “breathtaking” and “like a fairy tale.” The photos taken during the flight are often cited as some of the best souvenirs from the trip.

This is I guess everyone bucket list item and we were lucky to have it done in the first day. Mete our operator coorinated very well. Everything was on time. The highlight was as we wanted their flying route was above fairy chinmey and slowly drifted towards open grounds . We enjoyed the experience very much .

We started in a meadow full of apple trees ready to blossom. We had to wait for the wind to be just right and then lift off! The basket was quiet- we were all in awe of the magic and grace. Expertly dipped us in and out of valleys. Spun past other balloons, waved at spectators on the canyon rims or on the rooftops of Goreme, saw sunrise and climbed to 1km. Landed the basket right on a waiting truck. Such a great team. Few words but many memories
Zachary B
We enjoyed the balloon flight however we were not able to fly over Goreme and the fairy chimneys at all, which was disappointing. The transport on return was very disorganised and we ended up transferring vans 4 time prior to leaving the balloon site..
