Discover Dubrovnik’s Charm on a 1.5-Hour Guided Old Town Walking Tour
If you’re planning a trip to Croatia’s stunning Dalmatian coast, chances are Dubrovnik will be high on your list. Known for its ancient city walls, scenic streets, and cinematic fame, Dubrovnik is a city that invites exploration.
While many visitors opt for full-day tours or visits to the city walls, a shorter, focused experience like this 1.5-hour guided Old Town tour offers a great way to get a quick yet meaningful taste of what makes this place special.
Goga was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and explained us the history in depth regarding the Old Town and also the City walls. GoT was a part of the tour by default and ofcourse a tour of Dubrovnik old town is incomplete now without the shooting locations inside the Old Town. The tour was 1.5 hrs but we discussed different topics and stories for almost 2 hours. She was kind enough to walk us back to the Pile Gate from where we went for the City Walls walk. Overall it was an engaging walking tour. Fabulous experience.
Fantastic tour. I made an extremely last minute booking on Christmas Eve for Christmas Day, and they were able to accommodate. My guide was the tall professor and he was excellent. Extremely engaging and he certainly knew his stuff well. Definitely learnt so much on the palace and surrounds and highly recommend it especially on the first few day to know and understand about the palace.
The tour was very good. Our guide Dorotea was knowledgeable, knew her history and passionate about Dubrovnik. An hour and a half was plenty of time to learn and see a lot. We would highly recommend Dorotea as a guide and appreciate learning the history.
What immediately catches your attention about this tour is its small-group format—meaning you’re not lost in a crowd—and the chance to learn from a local, licensed guide who knows Dubrovnik inside out. We love how this tour balances laid-back strolling with rich storytelling, making history accessible without feeling rushed.
And, of course, the added bonus of spotting some famous filming locations from Game of Thrones, Robin Hood, and Star Wars makes it appealing for pop culture fans.
However, one thing to keep in mind is that this tour covers a fair bit in a short time, so if you’re particularly keen on deep dives into specific sites or prefer a more leisurely pace, it might feel a bit brisk. Also, since entrance fees aren’t included, you’ll want to budget for those separately if you plan to explore specific landmarks further.
This tour suits travelers who want a well-rounded introduction to Dubrovnik’s Old Town, especially if you’re short on time but still want a knowledgeable guide to point out the highlights. It’s particularly appealing to first-timers, history buffs, and fans of film locations, all at an accessible price point.
