Planning a night out in Madrid and want to catch an authentic flamenco performance? We’ve reviewed the Flamenco Show at Torres Bermejas to help you decide if this experience is right for you.

What we love about this show is how it combines a traditional setting with passionate performances, all at a reasonable price. The venue’s decor, inspired by Granada’s Alhambra, creates an atmospheric backdrop that feels like stepping into another world. Plus, the option to upgrade your ticket with dinner offers a chance to enjoy some classic Spanish cuisine while watching the show.

However, there are a few things to consider. Some visitors have found the experience a bit rushed or crowded, and the food quality varies depending on what you order. If you’re someone who values a relaxed pace and top-notch food, this might not be the perfect fit. That said, if you’re after a lively, genuine flamenco show in a historic space, it’s definitely worth considering.

Excellent live show with experienced and impressive performances from all. Venue very atmospheric and friendly staff. My only negative point is the online booking and the ticket/event description said a free drink was included with the show but it was not and I had to pay. I suspect this was not the venue to blame but Viator's error in not clarifying what was/was not included.

A truly memorable flamenco experience. The staff were friendly, service-minded, and very welcoming. They handled an unexpected issue quickly, professionally, and with genuine kindness. The live music was absolutely fantastic, full of energy and emotion, and the dance was unforgettable. An amazing evening from start to finish.

Wonderful experience in Madrid! The venue was beautiful. The staff was friendly. The dancers were excellent! Very talented. The musicians were amazing, especially the singer. His deep voice was so mesmerizing. The location is great, right off the Gran Via metro station. The only thing that wasn’t great was the seating for those who don’t preorder food and drinks. We were seated on the side and I couldn’t see the performers unless they were dancing. I couldn’t see the musicians or the dancers when they were seated. Keep that in mind when you pay. I did buy two glasses of wine once there.

This experience suits travelers who want an affordable, lively taste of flamenco in central Madrid, especially those looking for a quick, memorable cultural highlight. It’s also a good option if you want a venue with a storied history and a cozy, atmospheric setting.

The Venue and Setting

First off, Torres Bermejas is a venue with a history dating back to 1960, and it’s famous for its Arabic-inspired decor. The ceilings, tiles, and ornate wood work evoke the majesty of the Alhambra, making it more than just a stage — it’s a visual feast that pulls you into the spirit of Spain’s Moorish past.

This background amplifies the intimacy and authenticity of the flamenco performance, making you feel part of something special.

What the Flamenco Show Offers

The show itself runs for about an hour, with performances from talented dancers, singers, and guitarists. As some reviews highlight, the performers are highly skilled, and their ability to tell stories through dance and music is evident. We’ve read comments praising the passion and intensity conveyed during the act, with some viewers noting that the dancers danced with emotion and technical precision.

We’ve been to several Flamenco shows in various Spanish cities over the years (including at least 3 in Madrid). Flamenco is always a good time; it is such a beautiful and passionate art! The performers here were particularly exceptional! Also, the performance was the FULL hour; that doesn’t always happen. The male dancer at this performance did more than we’ve seen anyone do elsewhere in terms of using his whole body for dance. The performers are artists and atheletes! The venue was also beautiful! We did the show only so we can’t speak to the food and drinks. The location was about an 8 minute walk (mostly North I think) from where we stayed in Plaza Mayor. Definitely recommend!

Great, would do it again next time I’m in Madrid. The space was kind of cool looking design everywhere, performance was good with three dancers , singer, and a guitarist.

Torres Bermejas delivered exactly what I was hoping for—an authentic, high-energy flamenco performance that pulls you all the way in. The moment you step inside, the setting alone tells you you’re about to see something special. The atmosphere, the architecture, the intimate layout… it all sets the tone. But the show is what makes it unforgettable. The dancers performed with real passion—no shortcuts, no gimmicks. You could feel every movement and every emotion. The musicians and the singer were just as impressive. That raw combination of voice, guitar, and rhythm hits you in the chest in the best way. It’s one thing to watch flamenco. It’s another to experience it in a space des…

Many reviews also emphasize the beauty of the performance, with one describing the performers’ gestures and facial expressions as “incredible” and “telling an intense story”. The show is lively and energetic, with toe-tapping, sweeping gestures, and vibrant footwork that keeps your eyes glued to the stage.

The Food and Drink Options

If you opt for the dinner upgrade, you’ll have a choice of three menus: seasonal, fandango, or guajira, each offering a selection of traditional Spanish cuisine. Reviewers have enjoyed the delicious food, with some mentioning the vegetarian options tasting especially good. One guest raved about their vegetarian dinner tasting “amazing,” and others appreciated the efficient service.

However, it’s worth noting that some reviews mention the quality of the food varies—for example, steak and paella have been described as average or tough. The included drinks are generally wine, but some guests have been confused about whether drinks are included in the ticket price.

Several reviewers mention that drinks are not included unless specified, so it’s best to check your ticket details beforehand.

It's a very small club with a couple of names on the sign outside so it's easy to miss when it's dark and raining. The offer said show plus drink with a dinner option. There were a dozen tables that opted for the dinner option but the other roughly 80-90 of us were shoehorned in on rows of dining chairs. Not terribly comfortable but it's only a 55 minute show. The performers were adequate but their ability to show their flair was limited by the small stage. Overall 3/5 and no drink offered.
iryan422
The show was very entertaining. The dancers were very talented. A fun way to spend an evening. Good for any age group.
Megan R
It was cramped in the room and although it said you get red or white wine with the purchase we had to pay. Dancers were great though!

Price and Value

At approximately $32.51 per person, the ticket price is quite reasonable considering it includes live entertainment and optional dinner. The value is enhanced if you’re interested in a cultural experience with an atmospheric setting. Visitors have found the show worth the price, especially those who appreciate traditional flamenco with passionate musicians and dancers.

That said, the crowded and sometimes rushed environment, along with average food quality, means it may not appeal to those seeking a relaxed, gourmet evening. It’s more about the performance and ambiance than a refined dining experience.

Crowd, Logistics, and Timing

The venue’s location in central Madrid makes it accessible via public transportation, and it’s close to popular areas like Gran Vía and Callao. Most reviews suggest arriving 15-20 minutes early to find your seat and settle in, especially since the venue can be small and crowded.

An immersive experience , a bit cramped seating area , but the dancing makes up for the lack of space

This was a first for the two of us. It wasn't stand-up, it wasn't burlesque; both of which types of live performance we've attended. This was, somehow, more intimate – it drew you in, kept you truly focused and engaged. The music was amazing (the guitar particularly-sublime), the vocals powerful, the dancing yet more so, somehow blending power and passion.
Vikki K
The entertainment was amazing – well worth seeing – highly recommend – the paella however was very ordinary did not effect our night though

The Overall Experience

The majority of visitors agree that the flamenco performance itself is excellent, with passionate dancers and talented musicians. Many have called it a “must-see” when in Madrid, especially if you’re looking for an authentic cultural experience in a historic setting.

However, there are some who felt the experience was somewhat rushed — the show lasts about an hour, and the stage lights go down quickly afterward. The reviews suggest trying to get there early to avoid feeling hurried or missing part of the show.

Had a wonderful time! Beautiful show!! The couple we were with are vegan and they were very accommodating to them. Food, wine, all delicious.

Great location excellent show. Read the small print and check your ticket reflects what you think you’ve purchased!

The venue looked cute, and wasn't too hard to find following Google Maps. We were offered a choice of seats – front or in the middle and we were pleased we opted for the middle as the performance was quite loud. The waiter didn't take our drinks order straight away – and it wasn't at all busy, which was a shame. When he came back we asked for beer, sangria and some water and he laughed at me and said we couldn't have water (even though we were paying for drinks). I did feel this was rude and not the best start. The guitarist was amazing, and the singer was impressive. The dance performances were good, lots of them cheering for each other and one was quite an emotive performance. Glad we went…

If you’re after a luxurious, quiet dinner combined with a performance, this might not be your best choice, given some reviews about the food quality and the crowded setup. But for authentic flamenco in a historic setting, it’s tough to beat.
