We’ve seen plenty of tours, but what makes this one stand out is its blend of scenic views, off-road fun, and expert local guides that make the trip both exciting and informative.

It’s a great option if you crave an outdoor activity that takes you beyond the usual sightseeing spots and into the less explored, more authentic side of Portugal.

Such a fun activity to do!! Also a great way to learn how to drive on the opposite side of the road if you're one of those people from other parts of the world. A creative way to explore hidden gems and history in another country, definitely recommend
Carla
Had an amazing trip with Lx4 tours. We did the sunset ride which led us to beautiful views of Lisbon and the surrounding areas even able to see Cintra! Aside from the beautiful views the quadding was 10/10. Manu was a fantastic guide who made the whole experience even better. Recommended 100%

The activity was so fun! I really recommend! We unfortunately had a very rainy day, but they have rain suits you can borrow which is really nice. The guides were so nice and fun. I had Anna and Diego they were so friendly and funny!

One of the things we really appreciate about this experience is how well-organized and safe it is, thanks to the thorough safety briefing and protective gear provided. Plus, the variety of terrains and secret locations you visit adds a layer of adventure that keeps the ride fresh and engaging.

The other highlight? The stunning views you’ll take in—from ocean vistas to mountain panoramas—great for snapping some memorable photos.

That said, it’s worth mentioning that the tour is about two hours long—which is a good chunk of time, but keep in mind that you’ll be riding in some rugged, dusty areas, so come prepared for getting a little dirty. It’s quite accessible for those new to quad biking, but some guests do highlight the importance of paying attention during the safety briefing and following guide instructions.

This tour suits anyone who enjoys outdoor adventures, wants to see Lisbon from a different angle, or simply loves the idea of driving a quad through scenic landscapes. Whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or in a small group looking for a memorable experience, this trip hits the mark.

Starting Point & Meeting

The adventure begins in Costa de Caparica, a lively coastal area just outside Lisbon. Your guide will meet you at R. Arnaldo dos Santos 6, where a bright red quad bike awaits. We like that the meeting point is straightforward, and guides usually arrive 15 minutes early to get everyone organized.

Safety & Intro

Once you arrive, you’ll go through a brief safety briefing (about 10 minutes). It’s designed to cover everything you need to know about operating the quad bike, safety tips, and what to expect during the tour. Having this initial orientation really helps build confidence, especially if you’re new to riding.

Protective gear—helmets, gloves, and other equipment—is provided, which adds to the feeling of being well cared for.

The Ride Begins: From Roads to Off-Road Trails

The tour kicks off on smooth roads, which serve as a warm-up to help everyone get comfortable with the quad bikes. This is a smart move, especially for beginners, as it gradually introduces the controls and handling before tackling more uneven terrains. As one reviewer noted, “The guides are very helpful and informative, and I enjoyed seeing parts of Lisbon I wouldn’t normally see.”

Susan
Ended up with VIP tour, really great locations and not hard ride if you’ve never done it but still felt daring.
Alvin
Our guide Diogou was fantastic, it didn’t feel as if we booked a formal guide but rather met up with a friend who wanted to show us around the hotspots you normally don’t reach and give us travel tips you normally don’t get, as only a true local could and would. 100% worth the money, the ride was fun and we got to experience different scenes. Multiple lookout points and fun backroads.

Chloe
I loved this activity, when I arrived everyone was really friendly and went though a thorough safety talk. They provided all safety equipment and goggles which was a bonus. During the tour we saw several different view points and an inclusive view of Costa de caprica exploring places I would not have got to otherwise see. There was a nice mix of of road and more flat areas allowing both adrenaline and sight seeing. Both my tour guides were amazing (manou) and a guy who was really good on a quad bike but i cannot remember this name. Overall this tour is amazing.
Vanessa
It was very fun and the guides Manu and Bill) were awesome, they did above and beyond our expectations. Help us with my daughter with special needs and made some accommodations for her. The route has great panorama views. All worth it.

Plus, the value for money seems to be a common theme—guests feel they get a lot of riding time, exclusive access, and memorable scenery for a reasonable price.

On the flip side, a few points to consider: the tour is physically active, and dusty trails mean you might get a bit dirty. It’s not suited for anyone who’s very uncomfortable with riding or has mobility issues, though it’s generally accessible for beginners.
