If you’re looking for an adventure that combines adrenaline, scenic beauty, and a splash of challenge, canyoning on Croatia’s Cetina River might just be your next great story. We haven’t done it ourselves (yet!), but from what travelers say, it’s a well-loved experience that offers a taste of Croatia’s wild side.

What really draws people in? First, the expert guides who prioritize safety and give clear instructions, making even the most unfamiliar terrain feel manageable. Second, the stunning scenery—crystal-clear pools, waterfalls, and lush greenery—that makes every moment feel like a mini-escape into untouched nature.

Of course, it’s not without its considerations: this is a physically demanding activity requiring a moderate level of fitness and a willingness to get wet and muddy. If that sounds like your idea of fun and you’re prepared for a bit of a workout, this trip can be a rewarding day out.

I highly recommend this tour. Lots of fun and views are amazing. We had a party of 9 and both Elizabeth and Anton were amazing guides. Very patient and friendly. They provided excellent customer service. We arrived at port for the day from our cruise and they were able to get us back in time without a problem. One thing to note, you will be climbing down cliffs, boulders, and a few caves. So bring that go pro!

We had an amazing experience. From start to finish, everything was well-organized and fun. Our guide Luka was incredibly experienced, patient, and always made sure we felt safe. He explained every step clearly and shared interesting insights about the area along the way. Highly recommended.

Absolutely brilliant day from the moment we arrived until we left it was well organised and super friendly. As a family we have never done canyoning before and it was just fantastic. The scenery was stunning and the experience was so much fun. It is however extremely tiring so if you are not physically fit it’s not one to do as the hike down alone is challenging. Saying that for us it was completely worth it and I would 100% recommend. Thank you for such a memorable experience

Perfect for those who love outdoor adventure and are comfortable in water, it’s a great fit for active travelers looking to add a unique Croatian experience to their trip.

I am a big person and trying to get fitter, we went as a family of four, the kids rocketed off, and were keeping up with the guide for me though, I have to admit it was hard, there is a lot of down rock scrambles and some up ones too. My legs were shot! Howevee the guide Antony was so amazingly helpful, and encouraging and was so patient! when I was behind he not only helped, he properly guided me, made sure I was ok with every step, he just encouraged me to go at my pace and not to worry, he never got frustrated he was lovely, chatted to me along the way and even shared his water. I wouldn’t have made it without his support and help and it was such a beautiful and fun adventure! Definitel…

We had an absolutely great day canyoning with our guides Elizabeth and Antonio! The canyons is very beautiful with refreshing and cristal clear water. We enjoyed every second of the tour – whether we were swimming, walking, floating or jumping off rocks. Can totally recommend it! The transfer to and from the canyon to Split also worked nicely.

We had a lot of fun. The guides where friendly and helpfull.
Emma
I absolutely loved this activity! We were only with a total of 5 in the group and we all had never done it before. First you have to hike down a cliff which is quite hard for someone who never hikes. Then you can cool down in the water. You wear a full wetsuit (5mm), a life jacket and you can wear your own sneakers (you go in the water so they get soaked). The guide (Dorian) explained everything very well and his english was perfect. He went first to show us how to go down the rapids or make the jumps. The jumps weren't too high so not too scary. The activity took around 2.5 hrs. The guide took some photos for us as we didn't bring our phone which was also really nice as it is such beautiful…
Kylie
Elizabeth was our guide and she was absolutely wonderful. She kept me safe (I'm terribly uncoordinated lol) and was a pleasure to canyon with. The canyon itself is gorgeous! Definitely worth visiting!

This was a once in a lifetime experience for us! Our favourite experience during our roadtrip so far! I would recommend bringing your own footwear if you have them! I wear a size 37 and the only pair they had for rental was broken. Aside from that it's a wonderful experience. Good physical condition is definitely required!
