From Split: Zagreb Transfer & Plitvice Lakes Tour — Honest Review
Planning a day trip from Split that combines a smooth transfer with a chance to see one of Croatia’s most iconic natural sights? That’s exactly what this tour offers — a straightforward way to get from the Dalmatian coast into the lush heart of Croatia’s national park.
What we really appreciate about this experience is its efficiency and value. First, it takes the hassle out of planning transport and sightseeing separately, saving you time and energy. Second, the guides are highly praised for their knowledge and friendliness, making the journey not just scenic but also engaging and informative.
Was very surprised that in Croatia, the local and day tours via Get your guides kept requesting for tips at the end of the trip. Aren't they being paid enough? In the same trip, I went to Slovenia and none of the GYG guides there mentioned it. The trip itself was good but as an afterthought the transfer was far too expensive and wouldn't recommend. Do the Plitvice tour at £70 and take the local bus to Zagreb for £15 (Flix Bus). I was also lied to by the Tour guide, saying a van was especially coming from Zagreb to pick me up at Plitvice and thats why the charge was double. The van that came from Zagreb was also carrying passengers for Plitvice and had 2 who swapped me to go to Split. So tr…
Mia, our guide was so kind and courteous! Helped me make arrangements for my mother who has trouble walking alot! Such a beautiful place to visit! Beautiful waterfalls and super informational guide to help you tread your way along and giving us all the trivia!
Yesterday, we visited Plitvice Lakes National Park during our transfer from Split to Zagreb, and it was an amazing experience! Our tour guide Mia was absolutely wonderful — friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful throughout the trip. She made the journey smooth and enjoyable, sharing interesting insights and taking care of every little detail. Highly recommend this tour and especially Mia for making the day so memorable!

Also, the group size can be quite large, which might mean a bit less personal space at times. But if you’re someone who enjoys meeting fellow travelers and appreciates expert guiding, this setup works well.
This trip suits travelers who want a quick, well-organized way to see Plitvice Lakes without the stress of arranging everything themselves. It’s particularly good for those who value guides and a bit of local flavor during their sightseeing.

Mia, our tour guide was efficient and very well experienced ! The Plitvice Lakes/Waterfalls and national park should be awarded as a Natural Wonder of the World ! A beautiful & amazing sight for us !
This tour was absolutely incredible. I had Ivanka and she was so passionate and kind it was clear she loved her job. She made everyone feel included with photos and meeting the rest of the group, and I never felt rushed along the path. She let us really enjoy our time there to take in the scenery and knew the area well. The tour went very smoothly and we got to see all 16 of the lakes!

Great way to visit the lakes and transfer to Zagreb from Split
It was well organised and on time. The guide Ivanka was excellent and the restaurant recommended was very good.
We really liked how everything was organized and we rode a bus from Split to Plitvice and transferred to another bus for Zagreb. The bus was comfortable and had a storage for our luggage. We love our tour guide, Ivanka. She was like a ray of sunshine, full of cheers. I appreciated that she took the time to look after me when I was not feeling well halfway through our trek at Plitvice lake and falls. But I was still able to enjoy the first half of the tour. My husband was able to push through with the second half of the tour as I stayed at a hotel lobby to rest. We had some stops, one in the morning for snacks and in the afternoon for late lunch. The transfer with the side tour is a bit price…
