Fantastic trip and the driver Ivan was the most entertaining driver we ever have meet fun and talkative
Laura G
Ivan was the Best driver and made it fun ! Although it was a long road trip it was worth seeing, however he was 100% correct in that there is not enough time in Ston!
Amalia B
I had a fantastic experience on this small group tour from Split to Dubrovnik. Our driver, Ivan, was excellent — informative, engaging, and professional. As we drove, he pointed out landmarks like the Klis medieval fortress, Skywalk Biokovo, and the roadside farm stalls bursting with fresh fruits, vegetables, and juices. We had a brief but enjoyable stop in Ston, famous for its oysters and impressive stone wall. I managed to try fresh oysters at a local restaurant — a real treat! In Dubrovnik, Ivan introduced our group (7 of us) to Niko, our walking tour guide. Niko was knowledgeable and shared fascinating insights into the city's rich history, architecture, and fortifications. The Old T…

Ivan was a very good driver – even used his turn signals when no one was around! Very funny and good communication. Added in a stop for sunset at a winery on drive back to Split. We needed out of the car so we were thankful. 🥰 Helene, our tour guide in Dubrovnik was very , friendly, and gave us great tips and suggestions! Thank you both!!
MORGAN B
Great tour if you are short on time and HAVE to see Dubrovnik like we did. It was fabulous, even though it was as very busy. Ivan drove us there lickety split (pun intended), with a stop in Ston. Ston was OK. We visited the wall (about halfway) and the fortress as well. I would have preferred the hour in Ston to have been an extra hour in Dubrovnik! [Thank you for getting us there and back safely, Ivan 🙂] We met our guide, Michael, upon our arrival in Dubrovnik. He did an amazing job getting us through the crowds and bringing us up to speed on the history of Dubrovnik (fascinating!), especially with the limited time he had with us (1hr). He also recommended places for us to visit based on…
Tatyana K
Driver-tour guide and Dubrovnik tour guide both very good. Selected stops excellent choices. Use of tour rather than self-drive were the right choice given length of drive and traffic getting into Dubrovnik.

What makes this stop worthwhile? The views from the walls are breathtaking and great for photos. Some reviews mention that the time here is a bit limited, but it’s enough to get a sense of the place. As one traveler said, “Ston was OK, but there’s not enough time in Ston,” which is a gentle reminder to keep your expectations realistic for a quick stop.

Arriving in Dubrovnik: A Guided Walk Through the Old Town

Once in Dubrovnik, your guided walking tour starts with the Stradun promenade, the central artery of Old Town. From there, you’ll visit Rector’s Palace, a Gothic building that was once the administrative heart of the Republic, and the Sponza Palace, with its picturesque courtyard and historical significance.

The guide provides commentary on each site—some reviewers noted that the guides are friendly and knowledgeable, offering tips and answering questions along the way. Helene, for example, was praised for her friendliness and helpfulness.

Exploring Dubrovnik’s Iconic Sites

The tour covers the 11th-century Town Hall, known for its Gothic style and Renaissance updates. The Baroque Cathedral is also a highlight, offering great photo opportunities and a glance at the city’s architecture.

Very good driver Ivan, he very kind person, and Silvia our tourist guide kindly person and she answer all the question for us and she gave us enough information about Dubrovnik old town.
Jo L
Fantastic arrangement, comfortable transfer – I was able to take a nap despite the long hours ride! Driver name I forgot, John or Ivan? The guide we met was articulate and provided a lot of historical information.
Amanda L
Tony, our driver, was awesome. I really enjoyed learning about tge area from him. Also, in the (tiny) town itself, Sylvia was very helpful. Dubrovnik is a must-see if you are interested in history. Like anything not built recently, it does not have a lot of wheelchair or baby stroller access. For the like of me, I don't know why anyone would wheel a stroller around with a baby there. I felt sorry for those overheated, tired babies and toddlers.

While the walls are not included in the tour price, some travelers choose to climb them during their free time (which requires extra tickets). A few reviews mention that costs for entrance tickets are separate, and they’re on the pricey side—about 36 euros for the walls—and may not fit into your schedule if you want to do everything.

Here's some more things to do in Split

Free Time and Personal Exploration

After the guided highlights, you’ll have around two hours of free time. This is your chance to explore more, try local Croatian dishes, shop for souvenirs, or simply relax and soak in the atmosphere. Some travelers used this time to walk along the city walls or visit additional sites, while others enjoyed a leisurely lunch at a local restaurant.

A few reviews highlight that timing is tight, and there’s not enough time to do everything, especially if you want to climb the walls or visit certain attractions.

Return Journey: Stops and Sunset Views

On the way back, there’s an optional stop at a winery to catch the sunset—an appreciated addition for those wanting a relaxing end to the day. The trip back is a good opportunity to reflect on what you’ve seen and captured.

Definitely worth the visit to get a feel for Dubrovnik, the tour was well run and the driver Antonio was excellent
Silvia D
Excellent tour and very informative. I would definitely recommend 100% to anyone traveling to Croatia.
Remo P
Stopping at the service area for a glass of wine and a fabulous view This is a long trip but I have to. say the driver Antonio was. brilliant. He was prompt and helpful and worked hard to keep us on time despite the traffic. The guide was very pleasant but I did not feel I learned much about the history of the place. It was more focussed on the best viewpoints for photos or the best place to eat and how much it cost to get into the sights (an awful lot! How can they justify 36 euros to climb up onto the walls and walk along them I don't know) The time we had there made that impossible anyway. The guided tour felt rushed and it is probably too much for a day trip

Loved Dubrovnik. Enjoyed walking the wall around old town. Matt provided us with a good overview of the old town and its history. The only reason for four stars was the long drive made our time in Dubrovnik short.
James B
Excellent trip to Dubrovnik, our driver was outstanding and the stops on the trip were very interesting. Great experiencw
Charlotte J
While this trip was amazing on its own for its access to a multitude of activities and information from a guide inside the old walls of Dubrovnik, the road to the city was also memorable thanks to our dynamic guide Mile. The guide was entertaining and gave a lot of information concerning important aspects of the country as well as explanations to our questions. We truly recommend this experience as the price was also very affordable considering what was offered to us that day!
