Krka was beautiful wish we had more time here and at Primošten. Šibenik hated everything about it arrived there went to cathedral guide (Sandra) said owe it’s closed you have 1 hour free time and left us there was nothing at all to do need to take Šibenik off the tour waste of time and energy

An honest review. The national park & warerfall is amazing. We would have loved to been able to spend longer there. Sibenik & Primosten were not worth visiting ay all. Go for another tour that spends more time at Krka. We heard of one that included a boat trip around the waterfall and swimming! Also, the timings advertised are subject to change. We spent 1 hour at Sibenik, only 2.5 at Ktka & 1.5 at Primosten.

The waterfalls are more beautiful than the pictures & I recommend a visit. NO SWIMMING ALLOWED AT THE FALLS SINCE COVID. This tour we went on was very fast paced, we went to Sebinik for our first stop which we had an hour, then onto the waterfalls, our guide marched us to the bottom of the falls, which is a one way down, we did not have time to take the views in on the way down, (15mins) hindsight we would have let the guide carry on and we walked at our own pace as the route down look stunning, (30-4ins) once down at the main area we had time to look around the few shops, get pictures and have lunch, we then took the route back up to meet the bus about a 15 minute walk. Onto our next st…

What draws us in? First, the guaranteed skip-the-line access at Krka National Park — a real time-saver during busy summer months. Second, the small-group setting ensures a more personalized feel, which can make all the difference when exploring popular sites.

On the flip side, there’s a potential downside: some travelers feel the schedule is a bit rushed, especially at Krka and Ibenik, which might leave you wishing for more time at each spot.

This tour is well-suited for those who want a rundown of the region in one day, especially if you prefer not to navigate transportation or logistics yourself.

Primosten: A Coastal Gem

Our journey begins with a scenic drive along Croatia’s coastline to Primosten, a small town renowned for its beautiful beaches and vineyards. Situated on a peninsula, Primosten exudes rustic charm with its narrow streets and centuries-old buildings. The town is a haven for relaxation — perfect if you want to dip your toes in the Adriatic, stroll through winding alleys, or enjoy local wine.

Most reviews highlight Primosten’s appeal, with one traveler describing it as a “medieval island town” where you can swim, relax, or grab a bite. The two-hour stop offers enough time for a quick exploration, some sunbathing, or a leisurely lunch.

Krka National Park: Waterfalls and Nature

The crown jewel of this tour is definitely Krka National Park, especially the iconic Skradinski Buk waterfall. The park’s natural beauty is on full display, with wooden pathways winding through lush scenery and waterfalls that seem to cascade endlessly. It’s a spot that often leaves visitors in awe, and the photos rarely do it justice.

Very good trip. Highly recommended. The guide (Mille) was friendly & professional. He had great stories about the regions and locations we went to. The starting point at Split at 0820 is easy to find. First stop at Trogir to pick up others. 30 mins there for have a quick look around. Then to Primosten with an hour stop. Enough time to go to the church & vantage point from the top & have a coffee by the waterfront. I recommend getting some beach shoes near the car park for later. Then off to Sibernik for another hour. Beautiful heritage town. Worth going into the church. Get sandwiches for the waterfall here. Then off to Krka. 3 hours at the amazing waterfalls. Mille have great instructi…

We were picked up from our hotel in Trogir and along with 5 other people made our way to the medieval village of Primosten. Our guide, known as Henry, was very informative about the history of the area. After some free time in Primosten we then went on to Sibenik and here Henry took us on a short walking tour of the city during which he gave us lots of information about the buildings. We then made our way to Krka where we had 3 hours to explore a small area of the national park. Unfortunately we were not able to swim in the pools as by October the water is too high, but we spent an informative time in the village seeing the mill and learning about the hydro electricity. The walk round t…

2 visites de ville étaient prévues mais juste une à été faite. En plus, arrivée à Sibenik, on nous conseille où aller visiter mais ils ont oublié de préciser qu’une partie était payante. La personne qui accompagnait était sympathique et souriante.

According to reviews, the waterfalls are more impressive than many expect, with one traveler noting that “the waterfalls are more beautiful than the pictures.” While swimming inside the park isn't permitted—due to regulations—you’ll still enjoy the chance to dip your toes beneath the waterfalls or soak in the views from the trails.

A plus here is the skip-the-line access, which helps avoid long queues, especially in summer. The park’s entry fee isn't included in the standard price, but during the winter season, the ticket is covered, and outside peak months, you can pay on-site with a discount if you bring cash.

Ibenik: A Brief Historic Pause

The stop in Ibenik is more about soaking in the sights than extensive sightseeing. The guide provides some insights into the town’s heritage and landmarks, but some reviews suggest the visit can feel rushed or less fulfilling, especially if you’re expecting more time to explore.

A reviewer shared, “arrived there, went to the cathedral, but it was closed,” which left them feeling like the visit was somewhat disappointing. If history or detailed sightseeing is your priority, this might not be the highlight of your trip.

Things to Consider

Split & Trogir: Krka Waterfalls & Swimming in Primoten - Things to Consider

While the tour offers a solid overview of the region, many reviews mention the time constraints at each stop. The two-hour stay in Primosten might be enough for a quick walk and some photos, but if you want to linger longer, you’ll need to plan ahead.

Similarly, the three hours at Krka includes walking the trails and visiting key viewpoints but might leave some wishing for more time to relax and explore at their own pace.

Another aspect to keep in mind is the crowd factor during peak months (June to September), when Krka can become quite busy. This might impact your enjoyment, especially if you prefer peaceful nature experiences.

Finally, some reviews mention issues like late arrivals or guides not providing as much information as expected. It’s worth noting that late arrivals might not be refunded, so punctuality is important.

Who Should Consider This Tour?

If your main goal is to see Krka's waterfalls and enjoy some time in a charming coastal town like Primosten, this tour hits those marks. However, if you're someone who prefers more time at each site or a more relaxed pace, you might want to look for options that spend longer at Krka or skip the Ibenik stop.
