If you’re considering a visit to Budapest and craving something beyond the usual sightseeing, this Beer Spa combined with a full-day ticket to Széchenyi Baths might catch your eye. While it’s not an experience to be missed if you’re into trying quirky, memorable activities, it’s also one that comes with its own set of things to consider.

From the fun of soaking in beer-infused waters to enjoying the iconic thermal baths, this package offers both novelty and relaxation — but let’s explore what you really get.

We particularly love that this experience combines a unique beer spa session with the convenience of a full-day pass to Széchenyi, Hungary’s most popular thermal bath. It’s a logical pairing, allowing you to indulge in something different and then recover in Budapest’s most iconic thermal pools. Plus, the inclusion of private changing cabins and no-wait entry adds a layer of ease.

The beer spa was lovely and warm- well organised, plenty of beer on tap. Being outdoors in lovely warm water in February was just lovely

A must experience in Budapest! The private beer spa is the only way to go and our family really enjoyed relaxing in a private setting and the secure lockers
Craig J
The staff were friendly and helpful. It was also very clean. It was nice to have the private tub for a period of time since the communal baths were overly crowded (people soup!). And the beer pulls right at the tub was a bonus!

However, a potential downside is the crowded nature of the spa, especially during peak times. If you’re someone who prefers quiet, solitary relaxation, this might not be the ideal choice. Nevertheless, it’s a fun, lively experience great for those wanting a memorable activity amid their city adventure.

If you’re visiting Budapest, this tour is probably best suited for travelers who enjoy trying unusual experiences and don’t mind a lively atmosphere.

Had low expectations for this place; what a surprise as this was one of the highlights of our trip! We started as a family of four in the BeerSpa: excellent privacy, warm hot tub in beer ingredients, and extremely attentive staff. Was slightly disappointed about having to “buy” towels, but that was our fault as the company was very upfront about not providing them. After 45 minutes in the beerspa, we moved to the larger outdoor pool. So much fun! Even with a larger crowd, we found space and didn’t feel crowded. After several hours, we moved to one of the saunas and got heated up. We spent a total of three magical hours here and it was amazing. Absolutely relaxing and enjoyable.

Very easy to find and very welcoming staff. The changing room was tiny but we managed. Staff explained about the bath ingredients and their benefits and would have been happy to adjust the bath temperature, had we required it. It was such a nice, relaxing experience. The drinking beer was cold, the bath was toasty warm and there were snacks too.
Kristie K
Small room with 4 tubs & 2 beer taps. Pretzels also provided. There is no door so other other spa guests kept coming in to look around. Pillow would have been nice. The larger spa experience was a bit overwhelming- no explanation or expectations provided. Very busy with warm indoor pools completely full. No exactly the cleanest either- lots of things floating in the water. The outdoor pool was wonderful! Full but still able to find a place to sit/stand. I also had a 45 minute massage which was really only 30 min and more of a body rub vs massage- I don't recommend. Take your own flip flops & towel/robe. The private changing room was nice.

During your spa time, you’ll find the atmosphere lively, with many enjoying the all-you-can-drink beer and snacks. It’s more party-like than a calming spa, which is part of its charm. The beer tap, which can be pushed or pulled, often confuses first-timers, so don’t be shy to ask staff for help if needed.

Beer Spa + Széchenyi Bath Ticket - The Széchenyi Baths: A Budapest Must-See

The included full-day ticket grants you quick access to Széchenyi Baths, eliminating long lines. The baths open from 10 a.m., so you can plan your visit accordingly. These pools are Budapest’s most iconic thermal baths, with outdoor and indoor sections that are great for relaxing regardless of weather.

Reviewers mention that the outdoor pools are beautifully maintained, with many finding them “very nice and warm,” despite the busy crowds. Some think the baths could use renovation, but most agree that the experience of soaking outdoors while Budapest buzzes around you is special.

Plus, having a full day means you can spread out your visit, taking breaks and enjoying the different pools at your leisure.

Refreshing, semi-private, very relaxing. The changing rooms are private and secure. There is no choice of beer, but the local lager offered was good. Took the opportunity to go into the public outdoor thermal pool. It was delightfully warm even though the air temperature was a little chilly.

BEERSPA Amazing and made the whole day so much fun!!! Personal tub each for me and hubby and personal beer tap! Great fun!!! Staff so welcoming nd super helpful. Brilliant fun and went in to Thermal Pools afterwards which was fab too!
christina G
The beer spa was relaxing! Loved the Czech beer and pretzel snack. They play music and there are doors to give you privacy. I wish the tubs were filled slightly higher and it was a full hr! Just fyi the thermal baths there the outside pool is closed for renovation. I wish I knew this. The inside pools just felt really packed and not relaxing. We didn’t stay long so this ticket felt a bit too pricey for what it was. If I could do it again I would get a massage first and then do the beer spa. And skip the crowded baths!

Pricing and Value

Beer Spa + Széchenyi Bath Ticket - Pricing and Value

At roughly $128.39 per person, this package isn’t the cheapest activity available in Budapest, but it offers a decent value considering what’s included: a 45-minute private beer spa session, unlimited beer, a private changing cabin, and a full day at Széchenyi. When compared to booking individually, these combined tickets save time and money, especially during busy periods when lines can be long.

Many reviews highlight the experience as worth the cost, describing it as “a fun and different activity” and one of the “highlight of the trip.” However, some mention that it is “a little overpriced,” especially if you’re expecting a peaceful, spa-like environment rather than a lively, party atmosphere. If your goal is serious relaxation or solitude, this might not be the best fit.

The Crowd Factor

Beer Spa + Széchenyi Bath Ticket - The Crowd Factor

Reviewers frequently mention the crowds, which can be intense during peak hours. The atmosphere is often described as “crowded but fun,” with plenty of socializing and a lively vibe. The large number of visitors seems to be part of the charm for many, but if you’re after quiet serenity, you might find it less appealing.

One reviewer noted, “The crowds are just incredible though. But overall a fun experience.” The staff’s attitude and the organization help keep things moving smoothly, but be prepared for a bustling environment. The included full-day access helps you avoid some of the worst congestion, spreading out your visit.

What a fun time! Bath was warm and made our skin so soft. The beer is REALLY Good! Thermal spa was also nice as none of us had ever experienced any of this before. As far as the experience itself, do it! Just know we had a little difficulty finding the entrance, it was on the opposite side of building from where taxi dropped us off. Also, we were in the 4 tub room and people would come to see what this was all about. They could look right in the room as it had an open door. After a while this bothered me a little so I just turned around in the bath so my back was to door (problem solved). You also get a private room for changing and I did like that you could lock it and unlock it with a brac…

We were looking forward to this excursion, and it ended up exceeding our expectations! It’s a bit tricky to find the correct entrance, but the intro email was so helpful with pictures and detailed instructions. The reservation team was very accommodating when we had to reschedule, and we were surprised to have a beautiful private room. The rest of the bath house was really fun to explore, as well. Highly recommend a visit to the beer spa!
Janna S
Unique and beautiful experience. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We loved trying all the different spas

Overall, it’s a chance to enjoy Budapest’s thermal waters with a twist, making for a memorable story to share. Just be prepared for a lively, party-like environment and plan your day accordingly.
