Good for a first time at Lake Como. you arrive at the Como city centre, have some free time (1.5h) which was enough, then catch the boat to cruise along the lake. The boat makes several stops on some villages, so the ride is 2h to Bellagio. The guide talks about the villages, famous owners, etc-makes you appreciate it as some ppl on the boat were not on the tour and didn't have the earphones to hear the stories. At the top floor you can see better but at this time of the year was a bit cold, be prepared. It is trully beautiful. At Bellagio you can have lunch-i suggest google the restaurants and sort of know where to go – what we saw is restaurants on the bottom of the village are a lot more …

We had an amazing trip through lake como and Bellagio. The history of como, origin of lake como. The cruise ride to Bellagio, with enormous information.
Tatiana
Como lake and Bellagio are such beautiful places!! Really enjoyed swimming in Bellagio shore and meeting my bus seat mate. This experience was absolutely amazing, mostly because of the guide – Chiara – she took care to check each person in the group and passed on various interesting pieces of information. She helped me find a Kodak camera because my phone died, very kind of her. Also spoke to friends who did the same tour, on the same date, and they didn't have the same good experience as I.

Mateo was an amazing guide, he was very helpful and funny and made the experience even more enjoyable. The travelling went very smoothly and everyone was on time which helped make the day run well, we enjoyed having more time in bellagio and glad to have an exclusive boat rather than queuing for the big public boats.

Travelers also appreciated the timed schedule that balances guided segments and free exploration, giving a sense of structure without feeling rushed.

The boat cruise is often described as the highlight, with passengers remarking on the beautiful villas and gardens viewed from the water. Plus, the free time in Bellagio allows you to wander, shop, or enjoy a lakeside meal, which many say is enough to get a genuine feel for the place.

Possible Drawbacks

While most reviews are positive, a few pointed out some challenges. The large group size (up to 70+ guests) can make the experience feel crowded, especially on the boat and during free time. The bus ride back can be long and somewhat uncomfortable — some mention it gets hot or that there’s no bathroom on board.

Plus, weather can impact the overall experience, especially the boat ride—on cloudy or rainy days, the scenery might not shine as brightly, but the guides do their best to keep spirits high.
