We booked this tour, to be guided by a local, because it sounded very good value and we wanted to learn more about Split from an expert. We were actually the only 2 people on the tour with Mijo which was great because we could chat to him and ask questions easily. Mijo was an excellent guide, very courteous, knowledgable and brought the history to life with very interesting facts and details. He even gave us his umbrella when it rained for 5 minutes! He took photos for us at various points along the way and afterwards as promised, he quickly sent us a list with recommendations for restaurants and money saving tips. Thank you Mijo!!

Mijo was provided an excellent tour from start to finish. Location exactly as pin pointed on the map, easy to find at the fountain near Gregor of Nin. Very warm greetings from the beginning, a small group which felt very safe and personal. Mijo was very informative of Split history and very engaged to answer any questions. He also politely sent a big list of recommendations after the tour, a great tour to do on a first day. Only downside was other public people trying to tag along which Mijo politely sent them away but I guess this happens on many tour guide groups. 10/10 would recommend 🙂

Plus, visitors seem to value the local tips and restaurant recommendations that guides provide after the tour. This added service makes it easier to continue enjoying the city beyond the sightseeing walk.
