Our tour guide , Alexandra. was Exceptionally knowledgeable , kind & professional. She made this tour a memorable experience! In one day we not just covered both Buda as well as Pest and but also got to know a lot about its history, architecture, heritage and culture. Thanks to both Alexandra and a very smooth ride possible by our driver Mr. Thomas . Would highly recommend the tour with both to our friends and family and fellow travelers.

Outstanding tour. Our tour guide Zoli was fantastic. We have done many tours in other European cities and this was by far top 3. Zoli had so much knowledge to share and made the tour fun and not just dry facts.

On the flip side, it’s a long day, and some might find it a bit packed if they’re not used to a full schedule. Still, if you’re after a comprehensive, in-depth look at Budapest with a friendly local, this tour fits the bill.

This tour is probably best suited for travelers who want to see the main highlights but also appreciate a more customized, intimate experience. It’s ideal if you’re in Budapest for a first visit and want to get your bearings, or if you’re a history buff eager to learn from a guide with a passion for Hungarian stories.

Families, couples, or solo travelers who enjoy engaging guides and flexible plans will find this tour particularly appealing.

Dalia was an amazing tour guide! She was very knowledgable on all the architecture , religions and political conflicts for Hungary. Very pleasant to spend the day with.

Our guide and driver (both named Zoli) were excellent and very considerate as I have a slight walking problem. We were able to tailor the tour to what we wanted to see and Zoli (the guide) was able to get assistance for me whenever I needed it. His knowledge and great sense of humor made our day tour even more interesting. Zoli (the driver) was always there to help us on and off the van and managed to park the van as close as he could to the attraction we were going to. I cannot praise the 2 Zoli's high enough as they have been the best driver and guide we have experienced in 20 years of travelling

As one reviewer noted, “The church is open every day, except Sunday morning religious service,” so plan accordingly if you want to go inside. From the guided commentary, you’ll learn about its significance and architecture, making it more than just a beautiful sight.

Szabadsag Ter: Monuments of Resilience

Next, your guide will take you to Szabadsag ter (Freedom Square), where relics of Budapest’s turbulent past are on display—monuments commemorating Nazi and Soviet occupation, as well as the fight for independence. During the warm months, the miraculous fountain adds a touch of serenity. It’s a quick stop, about 20 minutes, but one packed with history and emotion.

Hungarian Parliament Building: Iconic and Intriguing

One of Budapest’s most famous landmarks, the Hungarian Parliament is a sight to behold. While the tour stops here for about 20 minutes (and the ticket isn’t included), it’s worth marveling at the architecture and the stories you’ll hear. Many reviews mention how impressive it looks from the outside, and your guide will probably share some insights into its history and design.

Kossuth Lajos Square and Shoes on the Danube

From here, you’ll explore Kossuth Lajos Square, a symbolic area dedicated to Hungarian freedom heroes. It’s a quick visit but meaningful, especially when you walk along the Shoes on the Danube Bank, a solemn monument honoring Holocaust victims—an emotional highlight of the tour.
