It’s designed for beginners but also welcomes those with some diving background, and from what we’ve seen, it can be quite a memorable experience.
What we really like about this tour is how it combines professional guidance with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Plus, the inclusion of hotel transfers and equipment means there’s less hassle, and you can focus on enjoying the sea. On the flip side, the experience might not satisfy those seeking serious underwater adventures or lengthy dives, which is worth considering.

If you’re curious about trying something new on your trip, especially with a supportive team, this is worth considering. It’s straightforward, well-reviewed, and offers decent value for the price.

An Honest Breakdown of the From Side: Scuba Diving Day Trip
If you’re imagining an actual adventure under the sea, this tour probably won’t be the most intense or longest dive experience out there. However, it offers a solid, safe opportunity to see what scuba is about, especially if you’re new to it. The entire experience is around 4 hours, which includes transfer, briefing, equipment, and the actual diving.

Starting Point – Hotel Transfers
One of the biggest perks is that transfer from and to your hotel is included. This means no fussing with taxis or extra logistics, particularly helpful if you’re unfamiliar with the area or just want a hassle-free day. The group sizes tend to be manageable, and the guides are multilingual (English, German, Russian), helping make communication smooth.
Training and Preparation
For those new to scuba diving, the tour provides training. This usually involves briefings on safety principles like “never hold your breath,” respecting your limits, and following instructions strictly. From reviews, it seems the instructors are attentive and professional, which adds a lot of peace of mind.
Some reviews highlight that more dry exercises for beginners could help build confidence. For anyone nervous about equipment or underwater sensations, this could be a helpful tip to ask the guides about before starting.
The Diving Experience
Once you’re ready, the actual underwater part is generally straightforward. You’ll get to see colorful fish and coral reefs around the ancient town of Side. The water is described as warm and clear, perfect for first-timers or those wanting a gentle introduction.
Participants often talk about how addictive the underwater view can be—once you surface, it’s common to feel eager to do it again. But keep in mind that while the experience can be magical, it’s not necessarily a full-blown underwater adventure with multiple dives or deep-sea exploration. It’s more about savoring the moment and getting comfortable in the water.
Sehr nette Guides alles gut organisiert.
Overall it was ok. However I would not recommend for someone who hasn’t done scuba diving before. They take you with a boat away from shore and with minimal instruction get you to jump into water which is 5-6meters deep. You aren’t getting any time to get used to breathing with the equipment all that. It is 1 on 1 when you go underwater so instructor is always by your side. Pictures and video cost £60. The 2nd dive is in same location but you swim different direction to see underwater museum which is 10-12meters deep. The 2nd time instructor takes 2 people at the time. My partner has never dived before and he didn’t go the 2nd time as his 1st dive wasn’t very successful due to water…
Loved the suba diving
Food and Additional Services
While the main focus is the diving itself, one review appreciates that lunch was included—a nice touch that adds to the value and makes it feel like a complete, relaxed outing. The emphasis on friendly guides and the opportunity to share the experience with fellow travelers make it more enjoyable.

From reviews, it’s clear that many participants leave feeling satisfied, especially if their expectations are modest. Some mention that the tour was longer than planned, which is a plus for those wanting more value.
