If you’re dreaming of rolling up your sleeves and really getting a taste of Italy’s countryside, this Farm Tour with Cheese Tasting and Pizza Making in Sorrento might just be what you’re looking for. From what we’ve seen, it’s a well-loved experience, consistently earning high praise for its authentic charm and genuine family atmosphere.
What catches our interest most? First, the opportunity to learn cheese and pizza making from real locals—not just a demonstration, but a hands-on experience. Second, the stunning farm setting perched between seas and mountains, offering those classic Italian views that make photos look postcard-perfect.
On the downside, there’s a small chance that bad weather could cancel parts of the farm walk, which might be disappointing if you were excited to explore the crops and animals up close. Still, the core of the experience—food, wine, and family warmth—tends to go ahead regardless.
It was fun and enjoyable! Great host! Would highly recommend.

What’s Included and How It’s Structured
The tour lasts around 4 hours, giving you enough time to absorb the farm’s essence without feeling rushed. The guide, Francesco, and his family, are noted for their warm hospitality and engaging storytelling, which helps make the farm feel like a shared family space rather than a tourist trap.
We had such a lovely day out on this tour. If you’re thinking about this tour with kids and a bit hesitant- just book it! Our 6 year old and 3 year old were made to feel very welcome and included and they had a great time! There was a little park for them to play on during the brief bit of free time (where most were taking in the extraordinary views and taking pics!) During the more adult parts like learning how olive oil, limoncello and wine were made they just enjoyed looking at the chickens and playing with the two pet dogs, who were very friendly. The owners really made sure we all had an amazing experience. The pizza making was great fun for all. And my gosh, so delicious!! The owners…
Excellent! I will strongly recommend to everyone. Francesco, family and team were OUTSTANDING!!! Warm, funny, knowledgeable….the whole experience was memorable. Pizza making was fun and delicious. And so was the farm tour.
This tour was exceptional! Francesco and his family did all they could to make it the best it could be. an absolute highlight of our trip for certain.
Once you arrive, the experience kicks off with a welcome drink, a chance to settle in and get to know your hosts. From there, the tour explores the farm’s various aspects, starting with an introduction to the farm animals—a highlight for many, especially those traveling with kids or animal lovers.
Walking through the crops of seasonal products, you get a chance to see what’s growing—lemons, olives, grapes, and more—each with its own story. A visit to the vineyard, citrus grove, and oil area offers insight into traditional farming practices, and the farm’s setting makes every moment feel like a peaceful retreat.
Cheese Making and Tasting
The cheese demo is a real highlight. The family demonstrates the process of spinning mozzarella and caciotta cheese, and you get to taste the fruits of their labor.
Reviewers mention how interactive and fun this part is—many quote how they loved learning the process and tasting fresh cheese straight from the farm. Some reviews even say this was the best part of their trip, highlighting how genuine and delicious the experience was.
Even the drive away from beautiful Sorrento to the farm was filled with magical views. The host explained the crops and trees. The variety was amazing: lemons, limes, persimmons, grapes. All sorts of animals. The pizza making was fun and delicious. There was an added bonus of limoncello at the end. And the cheese! What fun. Recommend highly! Although you did not feel rushed the afternoon was packed with sights, sounds and beauty perfect for an afternoon in Sorrento.
the farm was great, the family that ran the farm and provided the tour were fantastic
The whole family was kind and welcoming! The meeting point was easy to find and it was great thag they picked you up and dropped you off. I liked to learn about the farm and how they make their own wine. They brought us cherry juice, cheese, meat, bread, tomatoes from the farm, pannacotta, and limoncello. I enjoyed how they taught us how to make pizza and mozzarella. We ate our pizza and drank endless wine from their farm. They made sure to take plenty of photos for you. To top it off they are funny and joke around with the group! Everyone in our group was great too! This was the best thing we did on our trip so far!
Pizza Making: Hands-On Fun
The pizza class is another favorite feature. You’re involved in making the dough, choosing toppings, and then watching it bake. Hosts capture plenty of photos, making it easy to remember the moment. The pizzas, made with ingredients from the farm, are often described as delicious and authentic. Many guests love how fun and rewarding it is to create their own pizza and then enjoy it with local wine.

This was a wonderful experience at Primaluce. This family run farm in the hills of Sorrento was heaven. Francesco and his family were amazing hosts, teaching us about all the make at the farm and then teaching us to make our own pizza. Even though it was a group of around 20, they made an effort to learn all of our names and make us feel truly welcome. Our pizzas were amazing, and it was a wonderful day. Before leaving, do yourself a favor and try their meloncello. Best one I tried in the area.
Wow, what an incredible experience. Francesco and his family are first class hosts, we loved our afternoon in their care, it was informative and great fun and in such a lovely location. I totally respect the values Francesco has, and he runs his farm with sustainability as a high priority but also puts quality over quantity. I can vouch for this by drinking his fabulous wine and eating the most delicious pizza(made with one’s own fair hands) using the farm’s incredible ingredients. Definitely book this tour if you want an afternoon to remember( unless you drink too much wine) and because Francesco and his family deserve all the success from their hard work.
